A Note on Catchment Areas
Under Hertfordshire County Council admission rules a computerised mapping system is used to determine the distance between a child’s home and their potential school. Priority areas are used to allocate places to pupils at Community and Voluntary-Controlled schools, though living in a priority area does not guarantee a place at the school.
